Hole in the Wall

Coffee Bay

Hole in the Wall stands in the cliffs just south of Coffee Bay. The sea has worn an arch through the headland, and at the right tide you can see straight through it to the water on the far side. Locally it is known as esiKhaleni.

It is the landmark most people come to the Wild Coast to see. The dirtbike routes reach it from Kob Inn and Xhora Mouth, and the 4x4 tracks come down the same coast. The cliff, the beach and the village sit together, which is why so many of the longer tours finish a day here.
